Cuan: To the south of the Island lies Cuan. It is the home of the Ferry, which will take you over the sound to Ling. Cuan is a pleasant place to watch the ferry or passing boats negotiate the the tidal race of the Cuan Sound. You might enjoy fishing from the rocks or take a walk round the shore by the way of the Brentfords towards Ellenabeich (Easdale).
Ellenabiech the main village on Seil,(often mistakenly called Easdale) it is about 4 miles down the road from Innish. The majority of the houses are quaint old quarriers cottages. The village has been used for various film and TV locations, including 'PARAHANDY' and 'RING OF BRIGHT WATER'.
A Heritage center has been opened in one of the cottages giving the visitor and local alike a brief but interesting history of the area.
